Not since the invention of the transistor has any technological advancement come along with as much disruptive capability – and, as much promise - as Artificial Intelligence. The most amazing characteristic of AI, other than its rapid adaption into almost every element of our daily lives, is the fact that the models that make it work improve every second. The world we will inhabit in a decade from now will be a lot different from the one we currently live in.
For Artificial Intelligence to live up to this promise, AI must have nearby data centers for the compute and storage functions.
The U.S. currently has over 1,700 active data centers across the country, over 350 are currently under construction and more than 700 in the planning stages. Many more will be needed.
